Previous ICMs
The IMU supports and assists the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM).
The first ICM was held in 1897, since 1900 ICMs take place every four years.
It was in 1900 at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Paris
that David Hilbert presented his 23 famous problems.

exhibition on the history of the International Congresses at
